Some stations are labelled Sponsored. Sponsors pay for these placements. Sponsored placement is chosen from your chart country and app language on the device. No profile is built, nothing is sent to sponsors about you, and no advertising network is used. Sponsored placements are not shown on Android Auto.
When used with Android Auto, the app runs on your phone and provides the same station lists. Android Auto (Google) displays them. Google’s own privacy policy applies to Android Auto. On head units with an FM tuner, FM reception is local and involves no internet connection.

On-device data is stored in the app’s private storage, which other apps cannot read. Connections use HTTPS wherever the station or directory supports it. Some radio streams are only available over unencrypted HTTP.
